Comments and Feedback:

What is CD mastering really?
I am so confused about this. This article helped, but I still don't understand the difference between mixing and mastering. When I am done with a track I go through adjust the EQ, panning, and phase. Is that mastering? Do I need to use a special VST plugin to master or a dedicated mastering hardware device?

Is this all just a way to sell something to musicians or is it really something that I am missing?
