Vocal Eliminators - Free or Thompson?

Vocal Eliminators for music tracks, free, thompson, plugins

Vocal eliminators function to eliminate vocals from a musical track. What this means is that the singers voice is eliminated and all that’s left of a particular track is the sound from the instruments, such as guitars, drums and so on, depending on the type and genre of that track. A question frequently posed is whether vocal eliminators are able to completely eliminate vocals from a song? The answer to this depends very much on the type and quality of the vocal eliminator that is used. In some situations the vocals are not entirely removed. These vocals might not be very apparent to the untrained ear, but if a person listens closely enough, the vocals can be heard but will be very soft, but audible.

It is not very possible to eliminate vocals from a track entirely with not bringing an effect on the sound quality of the track. In essence, this procedure can affect the sound of the instruments in the back ground. Essentially, there are a number of side effects to a song from which the vocals have been eliminated. For instance, vocal eliminators will not only eliminate the vocals but also other parts of a song, such as the bass.

The procedure of vocal elimination is quite straightforward and not as complicated as it is often made out to be. This is the way in which the process of vocal elimination will be using a vocal eliminator such as Sound Forge.

Essentially, the track in loaded into the vocal elimination software. The polarity of one of the channels is the flipped and the bass levels are significantly lowered. A new mono track is then produced by combining the left and right channels. Then a low end shelf cut is applied to the left channel and the processed left channel is then pasted into the right channel in mix mode. The new track is then saved.

The truth of the matter here is that vocal eliminators do not completely eliminate the vocals from a musical track. Essentially, the question of whether vocal eliminators do eliminate vocals totally depends on the track u n question. In some tracks, a vocal eliminator can have fantastic effects by eliminating the vocal to such an extent the reminisce of the vocals cannot be made out even if one were to strain to listen to it.Nevetheless in other situations, a vocal eliminator might only partially eliminate the vocal and in some instances the vocals might not be able to be eliminated entirely. Much depends on the way in which the original track was recorded.

Hence vocal eliminators are not always the solution to editing the voice from a song. Musicians which intent to use vocal eliminators to create their own music from other tracks might not find vocal eliminators that very helpful simply because the vocals are not eliminated entirely. It can be said in conclusion that the success rate of eliminating the vocals from a musical track depends largely on the original track and the type of vocal eliminator that is used in the process of vocal elimination.

There are many free vocal eliminators that will yield successful vocal elimination on your music and audio tracks. There are also very high quality ones such as thompson vocal eliminators. Thompson is known as the best in the industry and the results on your music tracks will speak for themselves. You can even use them to eliminate vocals from karaoke tracks.

You can send the track in question to the Thompson folks, and they will give you about a 45 second demo of the song w/o vocals and then you can see if it fits your needs.

If it does though, you are going to have to spend the $$$ for the Thompson eliminator.

Vocal track elimination problems
I have been trying to remove vocals from a Beatles track and isolate the guitar melody. Then I want to trim up the guitar track and loop it for a remix project.

I have tried using the popular audio editors like Sound Forge with sub-par results. I just can't seem to remove the frequencies of the vocal range alone. When I do manage to get the vocals removed I end up with a murky sludgy mix.

Does any of this vocal elimination software really work? I don't want to spend any money on something that is going to give me the same lame results.
